I quite enjoy it.

Kinja'd!!!

And this one

Kinja'd!!!

Have I ever told you how much I love the Wrangler? Because I love the Wrangler.

Also, question: 4-door or 2-door Wrangler? Which would you get?

I'd personally get the 4-door, because practical Rubicon killer.

I dislike the Wrangler. It's just so...unappealing as an only car.

But manual SUV with a removable top!

Meh. For 90% of it's usage it would be driven on the street. Not what it's made for!

And a GT3 RS 4.0 is made for the track but sees a lot of street use. Not what it's made for either!

I bet you money most 4.0s see more track than they do street.

But it still sees street use.

4 door Jeep. That is just wrong.

That means 6 of 7 cars in the lineup are wrong then!

Purist here. Not that there is anything wrong. I just do not like a 4 door Wrangler.

I'll just stick with Toyota's. All the capability, without the Chrysler build quality.

It's supposed to be a compact, chuckable SWB runabout and the second set of doors just throws all that out the window.

The 4-door Wrangler seems to be gaining more acceptance (it is still a Wrangler), but I'd probably go for the 2-door. That, or a 4-door with the J8 conversion making it a 2-door. No reason other than the few times I'd use it as intended, I'd want it to work as intended (tighter turning, higher breakover angles, etc vs. the 4-door).

2 door. the Wranglers raison de etre is crawling and the only advantage the jku had is a little more room for gear...for the trade off of breakoverit's not worth it. they are terrible heavy tourers either way, might as well get it crawler optimized version

I'd probably use the rear doors and extra room often, so it works better for me personally. And as someone who's had to squeeze in the back seat of a Wrangler 2-door, that extra room would be greatly appreciated by passengers in the back.

Plus it's still Trail Rated by Jeep, so it must still kick some Rubicon ass.

Whatever, that's what my buddy with a TJ said until it wouldn't start, something broke, brakes failed, or he was stuck. Same old story with any other old Wrangler that my friends have had, something was always broken.

Do you know anyone with experience with the brand new ones? The build quality in those is great. And the Pentastar appears to be a reliable engine.

My buddy worked at dealership and hated them. They drive nearly as bad as the old ones, it felt just as slow, even the manual shifted weird, and they weigh as much as a house now. He drives a full size truck, so it's not like he is used to refined driving as it is. He hated it.

No doubt that it's still capable, but I'd wind up in a situation where I need just a little tighter turning radius or happen to get hung up at the top of a hill and be pissed I didn't have the better (in that scenario) vehicle, the shorter one. That's just me, and probably completely irrational.

I agree, my father bought a Wrangler once as his second car, and i switched cars every 2 weeks with the wrangler, it feels cool to have one, but then you get bored you cant step on it.
You need to have a sports car ( or any car that can handle fast turns). as well
